Another May Long Weekend meant another exciting "Patrick" birthday hike! Unlike 2 years ago, the forecast gave us beautiful clear skies and a gorgeous sun. This year we headed up Yamnuska Trail in K-Country. The hiking trail itself was a fairly easy to intermediate hike, but does involve some scrambling once you get above the tree lines and a quick hang on the edge mountain . But what made up for those daredevil moments and some slipper snow were the amazing views of the Rocky Mountains and valleys. It was definitely a great day for a hike!
Directions: West of Calgary on the Trans Canada Highway, exit on the Seebe turnoff. Turn north on Hwy 1X, then east to the Yamnuska Parking Lot. (click above map)
